The Hemmelgarns reside in the Maria Stein community and are lifelong residents of Mercer County. They frequent the Shrine by participating in mass, adoration, various events and prayer services. Claire has been employed at the Shrine since 2015 and the others have volunteered here. The Hemmelgarns feel blessed to live in an area with such rich Catholic traditions and value the proximity of the relics and Precious Blood religious.
